Data Analysis

Judging by the fact that a real lava lamp is relatively quick to heat up, we decided that the light/heart source in it is carefully researched to find the right wattage to get the perfect heat amount. Because the bulb obviously wasn’t 113˚, the mixture was not pure wax. The real one had heating carefully designed to heat the special mixture. When both lava lamps started working, the real one’s waxy substance oozed and flowed, while ours rose to the top in one big clump. That is another giveaway to the nature of the substance. Sean’s lava lamp was more visually enticing. However, the wax in ours was cinnamon-scented, so ours smelled better! Sean’s was simple to use, ours took to much work to make operate correctly. Overall, Sean’s lava lamp performed better in all tests (including the fire hazard one – ours began to smell like burning things after a while).
