My Science Fair project
For my science fair project this year, I compared different plant
fertilizers and their effect on growth, leaf color, and the overall appearance
of three identical ivy plants. Plant “A” was fed the leading brand of
fertilizer; Miracle-Gro. Plant B was given a generic brand, Vigoro.
Plant C, my control, was given only water. My hypothesis was that
fertilizers would directly affect plants in measurable ways, compared to plants
that did not receive any fertilizer. In addition, I suspected that the “leading
brand” would have the most pronounced effects. I got the idea while shopping for
plants with my mom at Home Depot. I am interested in this because I enjoy
gardening.
