Introduction
Have you ever wished that someway you could harness the sun’s amazing
energy? Well, I have, so this made me interested about solar energy. For my
science fair, I am going to show you one way to heat water with only the energy
from the sun’s rays. I will have two hoses that I will spray paint two different
colors. I will set each out in the sun one at a time. Then I will have a pump to
pump the water through the hose over and over again. I will test the temperature
over a certain amount of time, and about every fifteen minutes. My hypothesis
for this experiment is that the hose that is painted blue will heat the water up
about two times faster than the pink hose.
Solar energy has always fascinated me because I know that it is another source of energy besides electricity, and it is free! I know that the sun has amazingly strong energy that nothing on Earth could be compared to. During this project, I hope to achieve learning and understanding more about the marvelous solar energy and its potential uses in place of current energy sources.
