 “Creating a Legacy of Faith”

Mission Statement: Pope John XXIII Catholic School Community is a partnership of parents, students, staff, and parish communities that nurtures the growth of the whole child in a Catholic faith-based education through a challenging academic environment. In this Christ centered atmosphere, the unique qualities of each student are recognized, and children are encouraged to be life-long learners, and are taught to be Christian leaders throughout their lives.

Your child will know they are a child of God. Your child will learn to become stewards of God’s creations through a well rounded education. Your child will become a Global leader, able to respond to the changing needs in society.

Academic Excellence: The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) is a premier standardized test.  The ITBS is by far one of the most challenging tests in the nation.  The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix and Pope John XXIII Catholic School recognize the value of student diagnostic data and assessment.  The ITBS is only one piece of our ongoing assessment system here at Pope John XXIII Catholic School. When students graduate from POPE JOHN XXIII Catholic School, they are prepared for the rigor and challenge of a Catholic college preparatory education. Students are prepared to devote time to studies and are held accountable for learning.

In fact, our eighth grade scores are among the highest in the nation based on the ITBS, and within the Diocese of Phoenix.  Moreover, Catholic High Schools have been exceptionally pleased with our graduates.  A significant number of our graduates were accepted with distinction, or placed in accelerated coursework at the high school level this year.
