1st grade to 5th grade

• Understand basic vocabulary and structures that are essential for everyday communication
• Respond to simple questions and commands using words, phrases and short sentences
• Read and write simple sentences
• Students will also describe or demonstrate knowledge about customs and culture of Spanish-speaking countries

6th grade

• Celebrate the cultural diversity of the Spanish-speaking world
• Motivate students to think critically with essential questions
• Language learning that lasts

This will help them with Spanish-language proficiency development and prepare students for middle school Spanish.

7th and 8th grade

The primary goal of the 7th and 8th grade program is to help students develop linguistic proficiency and cultural sensitivity. By interweaving language and culture, this program seek to broaden students’ communication skills while at the same time deepening their appreciation of other cultures.
