What is Stewardship?
While a definition cannot explain all there is to this way
of life, it can help us to appreciate it. Stewardship is based
on the spiritual principles of the Old Testament and the teachings
of Jesus. Where it has been implemented, both givers' and receivers'
lives have been changed. Stewardship is a way of life, a way
of thanking God for all the blessings we have received by returning
a portion of the time, talent, and treasure allotted to us.
Stewardship gives rise to a spirituality that deepens our relationship
with the Lord. Stewardship involves intentional, planned, and
proportionate giving of our time, talent, and treasure.
