TRIP - Tuition Reduction Improvement Program

TRIP_logoAs of August, 2009, Bl. Pope John XXIII Catholic School has started a new Tuition Reduction Improvement Program (TRIP) through the Fry's gift card program to reduce your tuition expense and to raise funds for our school.

This program doesn't cost you a dime and will support our Annual Appeal and reduce your tuition at the same time!

How it Works

  1. Purchase a Blessed Pope John XXIII Fry's gift card for $5 using the TRIP card order form and you will get $5 worth of groceries/gift cards at any Fry's Food Store.  Return the completed card order form to the PJXIII school office. Print the Trip card order form.
  2. Take your Blessed Pope John XXIII Fry's gift card and add money (cash, check, or credit/debit) to the card at any Fry's cashier before your purchase.
  3. Use the Blessed Pope John XXIII Fry's gift card to purchase anything at Fry's Food Stores in Arizona or other grocery stores owned by Kroger's in other states. 
  4. You can also purchase over 200 other gift cards from other popular retailers and restaurants using your Trip card at Fry's or Kroger's stores.

The TRIP program costs you nothing extra. You add $100 to your PJXXIII Fry's gift card and you get $100 worth of grocerie/gift cards at any Fry's Food Store.

TRIP Helps Our School and Reduces Your PJXXIII Tuition
Fry's Food Stores will donate 6% of what our supporters spend at any Fry's Food Store and we track how much we earn per family. The school earns the first $150 and the balance is split 50/50 between the school and family (family TRIP account).

The balance in a family's TRIP account can only be credited towards tuition. We do not issue refunds. The credit is applied once a year at the end of the program (August 1st, 2009 through July 31, 2010 program dates) and credits will be issued in October, 2010.  You have a choice at the end of the program to donate the full amount in your TRIP account to the School's Annual Appeal or reduce your tuition.  

Other Catholic elementary schools in Phoenix have each raised over $60,000 annually from this program.  Our first year goal is just $12,000.  Fry's Food Stores will donate 6% of what our supporters spend if they spend more the $75,000 in six months. The money donated by Fry's Food Stores will go to our Annual Appeal that directly funds your children's education.
